Dear all, further to Wanda's reminder, to clarify for Newman University Students the rules
taken from this year’s academic handbook are exactly the same except for
the penalty for work that is 30% or more over the word limit. The rule
for Newman only students is: "Work that is more than 30% over the limit may be marked
only up to the required word length (e.g. if a 2000-word essay is more than
2600 words long, only
the first 2000 words will be marked)" (page 21).
Best wishes, Registry.
