Queen’s seeks to create a team of Audio Visual volunteers to assist with the streaming of particular events. We looking for volunteers from the Queen’s community (students or partners, ideally not in their final year) who are based in the West Midlands, or able to access campus. Volunteers would be trained by a professional to use some very intuitive equipment, and asked to join a bank of volunteers (approx. 10 initially) from which Queen’s live streamed events can be resourced, on an ad hoc basis. The amount and frequency of such events will vary but all such events will be planned and booked well in advance. The first planned event of this kind will be the Queen’s Lent Course (details to follow shortly) which will be streamed from chapel on four Thursday evenings during lent (3rd, 17th, 31st March, 8th April). Some other streamed events may be planned thereafter. You don’t have to be a specialist, or especially techy, to join this team. All you need is a willingness to learn and participate. Those with a longstanding interest in audio visual work may have a natural inclination but equally those who have little or no experience of this may wish to be involved as a means of equipping themselves with skills and knowledge that may be useful in ministry or other work. If you have an interest in joining this team, please email Andrew at hayesa@queens.ac.uk to express your interest by the 28th of January. It is hoped that the training can be organised in February.
