In the light of the Government's updated guidance (and the further responses of our Churches) we have updated our current response too. Please see the attached document. Please note the following:
- Queen's will remain open, including for Reading Week for Track 1 students (Mon 16th-Thurs 19th March). Apart from those who may need to self-isolate, or who are particularly vulnerable to the virus (e.g. immuno-suppressed, have underlying or chronic conditions, or are pregnant) we will be expecting to continue studying, worshipping and eating as a community. If you have these or other reasons to be absent from Queen's next week, do contact your personal tutor (and use the absence notification forms as usual). We will be stepping up our protocols, especially around handwashing on arriving at Queen's (including for visitors) and before chapel and eating in the dining room.
- Tuesday evening classes are expected to go ahead on Tuesday 17th - again, if you have a particular reason to stay away, just make sure you let us know.
- Holy Communion next week will be administered in one kind only (bread).
- We are planning on the basis that Easter Schools for Track 2 students will go ahead, but are conscious that the changing situation may make that impossible (for a range of possible reasons), or may result in radical changes to them. We will monitor the situation daily and inform students as soon as we can if plans change.
