Students are asked to make a financial contribution towards the Common Room each year. This money pays for the daily biscuits, newspapers and the flowers and the vouchers that we send to students and staff on behalf of the Queen’s community.

The amount we ask for depends on whether you are a full-time or part-time student. This year students are being asked to contribute the following amounts:

Full-time (students who are permanent residents or weekly commuters)  - £13 for the year

Part-time (students who are on campus at least once a week during term-time) - £5 for the year

You can pay by cash or cheque (payable to Queen’s College Common Room; please write your name on the back of the cheque).

Please return your payment, by the end of April, in an envelope marked with your name and whether you are a full-time or part-time student.

Envelopes should be placed in the cash box that will be available in Reception or in Dede’s office during office hours.  It will also be available during Easter schools for any students who attend these who are eligible to pay and at supper on Tuesday evenings.

It is important that payments are named so that we know that you have paid and do not create embarrassment by sending out reminders to the wrong people.

We are grateful to the admin team for their willingness to help with the collection during the time that the Common Room is unavailable.

Thank you very much to everyone,

Dalwyn Attwell (on behalf of the refreshment centre committee)
