Getting ready for our subversive carol singing

Everyone is welcome to join us for our singing of 'subversive carols' in Birmingham city centre on Monday afternoon 14th December. We will be gathering in Birmingham at about 2.00pm, just down from the Bull, where New Street meets High Street (by the Rotunda building). We normally sing standing by the coloured poles at the junction.

Those travelling from Queen's will leave from the Cross at about 1.30pm. If you get a chance, please buy your train ticket in advance, as the queues at the ticket office at University station can be very long!

As well as singing carols, we try to be ready to chat with passers by who might want to know why we are singing and a bit more about the justice and ethical issues we are raising. To equip yourself ahead of time (especially if your gifts lie more in chatting than singing - you know who you are!), you might want to check out these websites:

1. Check out this website for info on a variety of issues such as reasons to buy ethically, the 5 most ethical retailers on the high street and ethical ratings for other chains.

2. This website is easier to navigate - http://www.thegoodshoppingguide.com/high-street-fashion/ this link gives you fashion info, browse the tabs to see info on shoes etc.
