As we have done for the last few years, Queen’s is excited to offer some structured devotional and reflective resources this coming Advent and Lent.

Advent 2023:
The Advent series is called: A Child is Born: exploring Advent through the book of Ruth. This series has 5 short audio reflections by Queen’s tutors (an introduction and reflection for each week of Advent) and an accompanying question booklet for individuals and groups. It is freely available to current students and staff here: https://queens.commonawards.org/course/view.php?id=2062. Others can access it for a small donation here: https://www.patreon.com/thequeensfoundation

Lent 2024:
For Lent, Queen’s is partnering with former Queen’s student, Rev Dr Al Barrett at Hodge Hill Church for a series of talks and follow-up online conversations called: God in the Ruins. The talks cover a series of fascinating and really important topics including deconstructing whiteness, Queer holiness and mental health and spirituality. Follow-up online conversations will provide examples of good practice and space to ask, ‘Now what?’

A small donation is requested to attend either in-person or online. However, for Queen’s students, please do not let the payment stop you from attending. If this is the case, please contact Jen Smith.
