On the 1st of June 2021 Birmingham launched the ‘Clean Air Zone’. The zone includes all roads within the city ring road, and will particularly effect those crossing the city via the tunnel (A38 / A4400) route. It is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with charges applied daily as the 14th of June.
A non-compliant vehicle driving in the zone will pay once for the day, then may drive in the area without limit on that day.
