To comply with government requirements for Higher Education institutions, all students and staff who will be on campus are asked to take a Covid test twice per week, on Sundays and Wednesdays.

We will be issuing LFD self-testing kits for this purpose. Each kit contains seven tests, enough for three and a half weeks.

During the week commencing Monday 7th June, we will be operating a collection point from Monday to Thursday, between 1pm and 2pm, in the dining room. We would encourage you to make every effort to collect your kit during these times but if you are unable to do so, please pick it up from reception.

Test kits are now also readily available from larger pharmacies. Those who are attending campus out of hours, or coming in to access the library, or for residential and other events should take advantage of this option so that they have had a test before coming onsite.

Full instructions on how to carry out the test are included in each kit. When you have taken the test, please report your results as follows:

  •  go to www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
  • enter the Queen’s postcode (B15 2QH) or our site ID (LFD: Queen’s Foundation: BFQW)
  • follow the online instructions to log your result
  • you will receive a confirmation email when you have successfully completed the process
  • forward this confirmation email to: covid@queens.ac.uk

If you obtained your test kit from a source other than Queen’s, please include the lot number from the back of the kit in your email to: covid@queens.ac.uk

If you have any queries, please email:  websterd@queens.ac.uk

Many thanks for your co-operation in this matter

With best wishes
