Dear Staff, Students, Residents and Regular Visitors to Queen’s,

For some time now we have had use of our extended car park at Queen’s Campus.  This has made such a positive difference to everyone and we are extremely happy to be able to provide this facility to you all.

So that we may manage this extended car park and ensure that we continue to benefit from having a secure parking environment, we wish to adopt a parking permit scheme across all car parking areas at Queen’s/FYH.  We are therefore asking all users of all car parks to display parking permits.  These permits will be provided to everyone, collectable from Reception, or from your pigeon holes once your details have been received via email bewleyg@queens.ac.uk .  These details need to include; name/student number/make/model/registration.

How we plan to enforce our car park permit scheme:

The car park will be monitored regularly to check permits are on display.  The following will be monitored/considered:

·         Staff/Students will have a ‘General Permit’ to display

·         Residents will have a ‘Resident Permit’ to display

·         Visitors will register their vehicle details as part of the ‘signing in’ process and therefore do not need to have a permit on display

·         Conference guests will provide their vehicle details as part of the registration/arrival process and therefore do not need to have a permit on display

·         Parking permits will be valid until the end of August 2019.  New parking permits for the Academic year ahead, will be reissued in August/September

All other vehicles that do not display a permit or have not provided their vehicle details to Reception, will receive an ‘Unauthorised Parking Notice’.

We trust that you recognise and appreciate the importance of introducing this scheme.  Please collect your permits before June 14th.  Permits will need to be visibly displayed from June 17th.
