Good News for Birmingham! The city will host the 2022 Commonwealth Games; a great sporting and cultural opportunity, but also one which brings the possibility of jobs, sports facilities and other resources for the local community.

Queen’s, as a partner institution within Birmingham Citizens, asks for your support in getting key leaders from local government and the Bid Team to make these possibilities a reality- by pledging their support for a set of people’s guarantees  on these issues, at the Birmingham Citizens Annual Assembly on 7th March.

Turnout really matters at these events- we need to fill Town Hall with 1,000 people to show leaders that these issues matter to us. If we could get 20 students, staff, and their family and friends to attend, it would make an impact. Sign up by adding your name to the list on the whiteboard, or email scarlettk@queens.ac.uk
