To all students

At the Foundation event in May we have an opportunity to say congratulations and farewells to students who are leaving but this year there are also two members of staff for whom this will be their last Foundation event.

After a long period of service at Queen’s, Canon Dr Mukti Barton will be retiring this year.  Although this will not happen until December, Mukti will be taking a well-deserved period of study leave in the Autumn term.  This means that her teaching and work with students will finish this academic year, so you will have an opportunity to say thank you and farewell at the Foundation event.

As you know Helen Cameron is leaving Queen’s this year to take up a post of senior responsibility in the Methodist Church. We will mark her move and express our appreciation for the last 8 years of service at Queen’s (and a longer period prior to her most recent appointment her) at the Foundation Event .  After this Helen will be on a well-deserved period of study leave and will only be working occasionally at Queen's and Church House to fulfil some specific responsibilities.
