We have now said goodbye to many of our leavers at our Foundation Event, and it was lovely to see James, our Chaplain, re-emerge from his sabbatical leave to join us for this. Just a reminder for those who continue as students of Queen’s, that James remains on sabbatical until the beginning of August. Rev Caroline Homan meanwhile is offering chaplaincy cover over these next weeks.
During this time, we obviously continue to encourage students to continue to make good use of their natural networks of support and pastoral care, but should anyone feel they need a chaplaincy listening ear, some limited cover will be offered by Caroline. Caroline is a retired Methodist minister living close to the Queen’s campus, she is a trained spiritual director and has coordinated the ‘retreat in college life’ at Queen’s for several years. Caroline has experience of offering chaplaincy support at Queen’s and understands the various pressures and experiences of theological education.
Should anyone seek this support they should email Caroline caroline.homan@methodist.org.uk who will happily arrange to meet in person or online for a conversation (Please note Caroline is only available until 20th July). James will return at the beginning of August.
