To all Students
Revd Dr Allison Fenton
This is to share the news Allison will be leaving her current role as our Anglican Admissions Tutor later this year to take up a new role as Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Inglewood Group of Parishes, Diocese of Carlisle. The date has now been announced when Allison will be licensed by the Bishop to her new role, and so we now know that her last day at Queen’s will be May 7th.
Alongside her new appointment, I am however delighted to say that Allison will be continuing with Queen’s for the equivalent of a day a week in order to lead on our Neurodivergency research project for which we recently received innovation funding from the Church of England for a collaboration also with St Mellitus College. She will also continue to be involved in some limited research supervision.
We congratulate Allison on her new appointment, to which I know she has a strong sense of calling to serve amongst the people and parishes that she loves. It is not quite time as yet to say farewell to her in her current role, but she will of course be greatly missed by all of us.
We will be looking to make a new appointment in due course, and are also looking forward in addition to welcoming the Revd Angela Sheard after Easter who will be joining the Ministry Formation Team as Anglican Tutor.
Please hold Allison in your prayers as she prepares for this move to new things, and for Angela as she prepares to join us.
This comes with my own prayers for all of you that your study at Queen’s may continue to be rich and fruitful.
Anne
The Rt Revd Anne Hollinghurst
