To all Queen’s students

I have already sent out a message to staff, but I wanted to make sure that I had also had opportunity to express my gratitude to all those among you who supported the welcome and rededication event last Thursday. Thank you to those who sang so beautifully as part of the choir, who were involved in leading prayers, laying pebbles (!), moving chairs, helping to host, and joining in with the service and act of rededication – whether in person or via the live stream.  I found it a moving occasion and our many external guests also expressed how pleased they were to be there and contribute to it.

For those who may not have been able to join the livestream but would value an opportunity to watch the service and make your own act of rededication as part of that, the link will be available on the Queen’s website shortly along with an article about the event.

I am delighted to have joined the diverse and extended learning community that is Queen’s, and whatever programme you are on, whether that brings you to our campus often or not, I hope you will also truly feel part of Queen’s and along with me look forward to all that I believe God has for us in the season ahead.

This comes with my prayers for you all and wishing you much fulfilment in your studies.

Anne
