After a year of consultation we’re finally there! ‘Diverse – Challenging – Gospel-focused’ will be the new strapline for Queen’s.

And here’s the new vision statement (just 17 words!): ‘Queen’s strives to be a diverse, challenging, Gospel-focused community, shaping people for God’s mission in the world.’

To add to that, we have a Mission Statement which spells out how, with God's help, we expect to make the Vision Statement a reality:

‘As a community, gathered and dispersed, Queen’s strives to:

 ·      practise deep attentiveness to Jesus Christ

·       live by the Holy Spirit’s leading

·       stimulate joyful, challenging exploration of the riches of the Bible and Christian traditions

·       create a lively, extended prophetic community of worship, prayer and action

·       provide searching, supportive pathways of formation and training for discipleship and ministry

·       listen to voices which are often not heard

·       enable the less confident to find their voice and flourish.’

All of these will begin to be used actively from the New Year, when our refreshed web-site will be launched.

In the meantime, we can all begin to make use of turns of phrase from any of the above as we speak about Queen’s to others and recommend that they come here!
