This announcement is for students eligible to participate in this year’s Common Awards Student Survey. This is to give you advance information about the Survey, which will be open during May 2021.
As part of the Common Awards partnership, Durham University has agreed to run a survey for all students currently registered on any of the Common Awards programmes which it validates. The survey will ask students to respond to questions on their academic experience (on areas including: learning and teaching, study support, learning communities and student voice).
There are over 2,500 students registered at 19 Theological Institutions in England and Scotland. Responses will provide information for the University on how students view the Common Awards programmes, and will provide Theological Institutions with information on how students view the programmes at their institution.
The survey will be carried out by Durham University. They will contact you by email in the first instance so that you can respond to the survey online. You will be given the option not to participate, and can opt out of the survey at any time. By participating in the survey, you will be providing your consent for Durham University to use the data.
The survey is anonymous. The University will be able to review the data to show student satisfaction for different groups (for example, by programme, institution, gender, denomination etc), but individual students will not be identified. Information on each institution will be shared with that institution only, and data will be aggregated where the number of respondents is lower than 5.
Before the survey opens, we will provide Durham University with student email addresses so that they can contact you regarding the survey (email addresses will only be used by the University for the survey). However, if you do not want us to send your contact details to Durham University please email Wanda Grudzinska grudzinskawj@queens.ac.uk to let us know by 19 March.
Once again, this survey is important to us and we hope that it will be to you. We would like to encourage you to participate when the survey opens in May 2021.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and, we hope, to respond to the survey.
