Queen’s Foundation Event and Celebration Saturday 8th June 2019

To all students and especially those completing programmes this year or leaving Queen’s

I am writing to remind you that this year, the Foundation Celebration Event will be on Saturday 8th June.  You will receive a formal invitation soon, which for completers/leavers includes up to 5 guests, but this is to make sure the date is in your planning and your diary. The timing of the day is 11.30 arrival for a service at 12.00 and finishing by 4.30.  (Please note that these times are earlier than previously published).  If you have a long way to travel and need overnight accommodation you can speak with Dede at hospitality@queens.ac.uk to find out more.

The day is to enable you to join with other students, families and staff at the Queen’s Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education to celebrate the year and our life and learning together.  This annual event is an important point in the life of the Foundation and includes both formal and informal elements such as worship, music, photographs, activities for all ages, speeches, presentations and good food – all held in a marquee on the chapel lawn.   The event has a particular focus to say farewell and make presentations to those who are or will soon be completing their programmes of study, but all who study or work here are encouraged to come.  It is also an opportunity to bid farewell to staff colleagues who will be leaving us to pastures new!

I look forward to sending your invitations out in due course for this special event and day.
