Queen's Community Allotment

Everyone at Queens is most warmly invited to get involved with the Community Allotment - students, partners, staff, children... everyone is welcome!

At the Allotment you can:
- Have fun
- Learn new skills
- Build community
- Grow organic produce
- Care for God's creation (5th Mark of Mission!)
- Find it a relaxing, theraputic way to combat the pressures of life (college-related or otherwise)!

You are invited to come to the allotment:

Tuesdays 2pm - 4pm
and/or
Saturdays 10am - 1pm

(weekly sessions starting this week)

You are of course welcome to go to the Allotment any time, but these time slots are suggested so there is more likely to be a group of people all working together at the same time. And don't worry, you don't have to go every week! The sessions are advertised as weekly so you know you CAN go if you want to / have the time and have a chance of meeting other people there too!

You don't need to notify anyone in advance that you're coming - just turn up.  And it doesn't have to be for the whole session either: it's up to you how long you spend at the Allotment, but the more who come, the more fun it will be!

Using the Queen's Allotment space as a community venture is new this year and the finer details have yet to be worked out. If you would like to be involved in helping to progress this very worthwhile project (e.g. through deciding what to grow, what to do with the produce and how the project should be co-ordinated) please email Michelle Parton at lylil.ddid@gmail.com

How to find the Allotment:
Follow the path between the New Building and the Temporary Lecture Room.  Alternatively, walk across the football field behind the New Building and head through the gap in the trees.
