I am delighted to announce the appointment of a new chaplain and to give you more information about interim arrangements.

We have invited Sister Beverley to become our chaplain and we are delighted that she has accepted.  Some of you will have met Sister Bev as she has done some teaching on spirituality, but she already knows Queen's well having done her ordination training here.  Sister Bev not only brings a deeply formed spirituality that is rooted in her Franciscan tradition, but also an infectious personality! 

Not surprisingly, Sister Bev has many commitments over the next few months so she will begin her role in September.  This is a long time to be without a more formal and consistent chaplaincy arrangement so I have invited Debbie Ducille to provide an interim chaplaincy service (from March to September), which is focused on students and partners who need a confidential conversation.  Debbie already knows Queen's as a Research Student and she will be available one day a week, sometimes during the week on campus and sometimes at residential events for dispersed students. Debbie "lives locally in south Birmingham, but comes originally from Manchester and has lived in all sorts of places in between!  She looks forward to meeting with as many students and partners and staff as possible in the coming months, hearing your stories and walking a little of the way with you."  To contact Debbie please use the email address debbiechaplaincy@gmail.com
