Good afternoon all,
Please see the link below for the live streaming of the Black Theology Forum tomorrow evening, Thursday, 24th October, at 7.30pm.
The Sam Sharpe Project are excited to bring the Sam Sharpe Lecture to the Black Theology Forum to celebrate Black History Month at Queen's.
The Sam Sharpe Lecture is an annual event that seeks to advance the legacy of Sam Sharpe, a Jamaican Baptist Deacon who led a ‘slave rebellion’ in 1831 that was instrumental in bringing the abolition of slavery. Each year, a theologian or another thinker is invited to advance the legacy of Sam Sharpe through a lecture that explores subjects such as mission, race, class, and injustice.
This year, Rev Dr Carlton Turner will bring the Sam Sharpe Lecture in the Queen's Chapel, which will be streamed live. Carlton’s title is “Fighting for Freedom, Fighting for Wholeness: Revolutionary Reactions to Colonial Christianity.”
Please join us online tomorrow, Thursday, 24th October, at 7.30pm here!
Kind regards,Dulcie
