Dear Queen’s friend,

Many people want to do something to change society but don’t know where to start.  It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the world’s many problems.  If you feel like this, Justice Mail may be an answer.

Justice Mail is a group of associated churches who are trying to change the culture of their congregations towards actions in the world. You can read about it on www.justicemail.org.uk

This is how it works:

If you join Justice Mail, every other week I will send you a message briefly describing one of the social justice concerns of Christian Aid, Amnesty International, Oxfam, Church Action on Poverty or one of the other great campaigning organisations.  My message will provide a link which, when you enter, will take you to a page of the organisation’s website where you will be able to send a courteous message to a Member of Parliament, a mining company executive, or whoever has influence on that particular issue.

In The Queen’s Foundation, a new Justice Mail list is created at the start of every academic year.  It is a simple way of becoming better informed about social justice problems, and an easy way for you to begin or to continue your own responsible actions in the world.  Moreover, much of our emailing has a successful outcome.

Membership is free!  You join by sending an email to John Hull at j.hull@queens.ac.uk saying in the subject line, ‘Justice Mail: YES’.

It only takes 5 minutes every other week to change the church and to save the world!

Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

Yours faithfully,

John Hull.
