Dear Continuing Students  ( on Newman or Common Awards validated programmes),

If you have been receiving support via DSA (Disabled Students Allowance) during this academic year please make sure that you make your application for DSA support for next year (2022-23) as soon as possible. A lot of you have already done this - Thank you!

If you have not been receiving DSA support, but you are someone who experiences any of the following:

  • specific learning difficulty, for example dyslexia or ADHD
  • mental health condition, for example anxiety or depression
  • physical disability, for example if you have to use crutches, a wheelchair or a special keyboard
  • sensory disability, for example if you’re visually impaired, deaf or have a hearing impairment
  • long-term health condition, for example cancer, chronic heart disease or HIV
Then you may be eligible for support via DSA for your studies. You can find out more here. You may wish to discuss your situation with your Personal Tutor or the Wellbeing Officer as well.

You are welcome to contact me for more information about the application process, please do so using the Disability Support email address: disability@queens.ac.uk

Best wishes,

Katie Cooper
