Thank you to all staff and students who are continuing to test
twice per week. Maintaining this practice is a vital part of helping to keep
each other safe, so please keep testing.
Please remember to report all tests results, positive or negative, as follows:
· go to www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
· enter the Queen’s postcode (B15 2QH) or our site ID (LFD: Queen’s Foundation: BFQW)
· follow the online instructions to log your result
· you will receive a confirmation email when you have successfully completed the process
If your test result is positive, please self-isolate and take a PCR test, in accordance with national guidance, and notify us immediately at covid@queens.ac.uk. You may also wish to let a member of staff (or, for staff, your line manager) know.
When you notify us, please let us know of anyone (or any group of people) at Queen’s you have been in contact with. In additions we ask that you give us permission to share your name with staff, so that we can make sure that those who have vulnerabilities can be made aware that they may have had contact with someone who has tested positive.
Where household members have tested positive, we are following national guidance which says:
Those who are double-jabbed are not required to self-isolate unless they have tested positive themselves, but if they have been in contact with someone who has had a positive test, they are advised to get a PCR test as soon as possible.
The most up-to-date information is at: Stay at home: guidance for households with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
Where students self-isolate (whether or not they are legally required to) because a member of their household has tested positive , they will be able to access their studies as per Dave Allen’s recent Moodle message.
Please be assured that we are keeping a close eye on the situation so that we can spot an outbreak in good time should there be one.
An updated COVID-19 Privacy Notice is attached.
If you have any queries, please email: websterd@queens.ac.uk
Many thanks for your co-operation in this matter.
With best wishes
