This short course is designed to enhance preaching
skills and to resource good preparation, with particular attention to the ongoing changes brought about by a global pandemic. This is also a time for regrouping and mutual encouragement.
For
many of us, presence and proximity, interaction and congregating changed significantly during the past 18 months, and we needed to adapt
quickly to different or less familiar forms of communicating. With this
in mind, the aims of
the course are:
- to provide a structured opportunity to review our experiences of online preaching, as preachers and hearers;
- to work collaboratively on preparing for preaching in a time of transition, including in an online environment;
- to stimulate effective use of literature, formal studies and other resources for preaching;
- to encourage giving and receiving of informative feedback.
